Stoughton March 1st 1947

Dear Doris It is very sunny this morning March is coming in pleasant so far but a snow storm is predicted later on. too bad this comes when the other one is getting so much better lower. we cant make the weather though. its 20° early this morning on the porch.

Doris may come out later in the day the going throug [[through]] the grove isn't bad, as there is always traffic through from school children.

I expect Frank Reynolds here for Sundays dinner she invited him last night he is always so good to take her down to church so we though being there alone & getting his own dinner. it might please him to have an invitation out. we got a roast of pork a shoulder it was fat, but cheaper than anything they had & squash. I dont know what else but a few tomatoes, guess she will have a good desert [[dessert]] to go with it. I think Doris likes eating here. She says so to Norma Lainey.

The warmest place here today is in our front chamber where I am writing the letter. I am watching a dog fight over across the way. in the course of the day there are
