Stoughton Feb 24th 1947

Dear Doris

I guess this is our last snow it came Thursday night and Friday accompanied with a terrible gale. more snow than we have had all winter. Rideout didn't prophecy the weather right this time. we are still having terrible cold weather this morning it was 10 degrees out early. I guess you are also having this snow and also cold days which makes it hard for you both you and Sidney as its so hard heating your house. I worry about you and shall be glad when warm days come. 

Doris is not out this weekend she is having good times with her schoolmates. she knows enough to take care of herself so don't worry. its the first chance she has had to do things she likes. she isn't like the silly kind so trust her. I had Gertrude Ballantine and Addie also the brother over here Thursday night. they stayed until ten and after big brother said the minute he came into the house and saw me, he was glad I had stayed up as he wanted very much to see me. I remained up till they went away, but was very nervous and tired but wasn't
