Stoughton February 13th 1947

Dear Doris. This is a very sunny daytime in the 30ies but bare ground. we have had but very little snow this winter so far but a lot of icy going. we can appreciate the good going we are having. our windy weather lasted three days & nights it was hard to sleep but thanks be this ended some time during the nite.

We had a call on the phone from Anna Lamb. she wanted to tell us she had a nice card from you and was very much pleased and asked us to thank you for it. she is unable to write. her hand are too unsteady like Maudes we take it. Mrs. Barry went over Sunday to call on Maude. she was very pleased to see her and asked her to stay all the afternoon but she told her that she couldn't. as she was going over to the next house to the Ballantines. she stayed there a long time. they seemed to be very much happier over there with the Aunt than they ever were
