Dear Doris

We are still having cold weather 10° above this morning but sunny days. the ice is still with us. but snow is disappearing. our front lawn is bare so I emptied my ashes in the drive way. a bushel. had accumulated since a week ago, when Bill emptied it all down the front walk. I expect him tonight. he said he was coming, if the weather was good.

The Bruces came to pay their rent in a car it was Harlans wife & Mrs. Barry told her what you said in your letter. & she said she would go back home & get the bill, so she did & rode right back again with it. &I am sending it along in the letter. I think they are very fortunate in getting such easy rent & guess they do.

Mrs. Barry wants to go over to the Rest rooms to see Cora Brock, but I say no the ice is still here & better not risk your breaking your bones, in going out yet awhile. its very icy all through the grove & then up hill all the way through the way across to the hospital where she is staying. across Elgin Street. its very bad.

We have had lots of wind & when it turned Northwest it brought us this spell of cold weather
