Dear Doris

I never remember of having such a long duration of icy roadways. Monday the temperature was 0. it grew a little warmer when the sun came up, but was down to freezing the next two days. today is around 30 degrees but cloudy. I guess the wind will chang for the south. its still very bad going. Bill came over early Monday morning & took Mrs Barry around town to do errands for me they in the afternoon she went with Winnie Trollsfre to the movies. it seemed good to her to get out of the house. she had stayed in so long. & tomorrow she will go to the movies. she always get Laura or Phoebie to carry her back & forth.

Bora Brock has been taken over to the Rest Room. she fell on the floor & couldn't get back up. was all alone & lay there for five or six hours. so Dr. Golding her family Doctor, had her sent to the hospital on Pheasant St. too bad she cant pass on. she has heart trouble & no one will stay there. she is a cranky old maid. but honest & good hearted. Oh! I wish the sun would come out & melt this terrible going. we shall have to put ashes
