Stoughton May 12th 1949

Dear Doris We are having a cold storm. Frosty nights hope it does not do any damage to our vegetation that came forward after the recent rains. this cold spell came on from Canada. terrible changeable weather we are trying to keep warm thes days. I have just been entertaining a couple who are Neal Williams old father & mother Caretas husbands folks. they are blind & came up to call on Mrs Barry they had a wonderful time they said here, with me, as I told them all about people in town. they came from the South & knew no body here in town
