last one of the family I think she must work somewhere for she goes early & late. Their father works in the woolen mills and Porter Street nights.

It seems good not to have to build up a fire in the little stove since middle of last week. since this warm weather began, hope it continues the predictions say March is going out mild. whe have no complaint to make, this certainly has been a mild winter compared with last.

I hope if Amy comes north this summer we shall see something of her she certainly has had a very busy life her husband leaving so early in this life. I guess her jolly disposition wasn't given her for nothing. a school teachers life must be very tiresome. We have just been to dinner were short of things so had hash, tomato stew, pickle lilly & tapioca pudding with raisins for desert

All around under the front windows are my daffies showing yellow nearly in bloom snow drops have been in bloom for three weeks all around in clumps, crocus in different colors. things are coming in spite of recent snow storms. It does seem so nice to have it warm enough to sit out on the front porch, it makes a little change for me after being shut inside all winter. After getting up this morning I went out to see what the temperature was around came the little dog & stood on his hind legs looking in to greet me. love Ma
