Dear Doris

This is a very sunny cold day below 20° Friday morning it was very cloudy early but around 9 O'clock it began to snow and kept at it all day boys came to shovel a path during the day. so we told them to wait 'till the storm was over so they did & saturday morning they came early to do so. they made us a nice path down the front way through six or seven inches of snow. it has been sunning for the last two day so hope it soon disappears.

About 1 O'clock yesterday Gladys came she stayed until 4 Oclock when she went down to Alices to eat her supper & then home again. her hair is showing some grey streaks. she said she went to Berts girls wedding and she married a sailor. I asked her if she had seen Charley & Lillian but she hadn't for a long time. I told her how I missed her mother, she said she went very sudden was sick only about a week she went to the hospital & died very sudden.

I am sitting up in the front chamber where its very warm, the sun keeps it so after the heat of the morning is turned off. I shall be glad when it gets warm enough so we dont need the oil heat. She has just gone off to church the car has just started
