small roast for our Sunday dinner. I dont care much about meat. canned good were what we lived on all the week good enough for me.

The day has turned out to be very pleasant also warmed up. its now somewhere in the 40ies we have been to dinner. now I guess the letter I will finish.

Nice to know you take so much interest in our genealogy the picture of Old Grandmas party where all her relations attended will be interesting to you. I never knew what her first name was. my Grandma Talbots name was Milly Gay & grandpa was Joel Talbot. I alway worshiped his memory mother was his favorite child she was the most like him she worked with him the only son that lived was George Brother Samuel died. we used to have his picture he was a handsome youn man when he died if his picture tells the true story. Horace carried off the picture after my mother died as he did all the rest of the things in my fathers estate. money & household goods. I never had any thing. just a few hundred dollars that was in my mothers bank. that I put into this house. it did me more good than all the money he got for fathers big farm.

It seems good to look out of the window to see the ground bare. we certainly have had a wonderful winter with but little snow, compared with what we had last year.

I am sending you the article that came out in the Brockton Enterprise after my party. I dont think we knew of anything they would print about it, so it was a complete surprise all to see it in our paper. Helen Curtis told Mrs Barry she was sorry she didn't know of it. if she had she would have sent me a card & told her & she sends her respects to me. no one was invited those who came come of their own accord, there was just enough so I didnt get too tired.
