Stoughton Dec 29th 1948

After our 0 temperature of two days now we are having it a little milder with sunny days prevailing. The going is not very bad snow is fast disappearing. I hope no more comes right away. I have been trying to get Myrtle Gilcher on the phone all the morning to thank her for the Coffee cake she sent us for xmas but her line is busy. I hope you are having a good time enjoying Doris stay at home but she will soon be leaving for Cambridge I guess now. Sory Sid is having such a time with his leg & back. I wish he could have a longer rest. Did I tell you that Robert Beal sent me a xmas card? I had a lot of them xmas week one from Elsie Myrties girl in Vermont I always was sorry for her she had two bad marriages
