then Mrs B gave me a box of xmas candy. then your big box contained everything good I was more than pleased with all those nice things it contained. sorry you spent so much on me. We never had a pleasanter over head but slippery going time for xmas.

I am sorry for the Ballantines they are having a terrible time with their sister & son Tom. Addie called Mrs Barry up on the phone & said they sent for Tom their brother, to come out there to see them & put on their out side door he wrote them a letter saying he never wanted to even see them again. that Addie was born without a heart. Gertrude was a raving maniac. he was sorry his mother was his own mother, sure she was different. he stays over with his aunt the Toomeys take her to church. they do all her chores. Frank is good to her. I dont think they have many friends in Stoughton, the Rings she is against them. they must have been anything but happy. We dont believe in taking sides with either one of them.

Myrtie called up this morning, she said Alice went to the Catholic church the night before xmas (with friends) to hear their singing. I received cards from both of them. their neighbors are mostly catholics. how would that suit their ma? I hope you had a good time with young Doris while she is home.

If you cut out the panties I am willing to do the rest guess you have some pattern to go by. there is none here.

I hope Delores has a good vacation with her relatives. & you had many gifts yourself. now for my dinner. love Ma
