Stoughton December 12th 1948

Dear Doris

We are having colder weather but snow stays away 30° this morning about 40° during the day I guess the bundle reached by the end of last week. It was mailed Thursday morning. 

I suppose you are very busy getting ready for Xmas, also looking forward for Doris coming home for her brief vacation. hope you both enjoy the day.

I have been sewing. I made three holders as my old ones had got so dirty we were ashamed of them so burned them up & made new ones.

It is beginning to cloud up hope it dont rain or snow. I am going to have fish chowder for my Sunday dinner with my favorite pudding butterscotch so I like it but she never does, nor does Sidney. 

Mr. Goward has just come home from the Catholic Church. they have a new baby over there I see the district nurse has been going ther mornings & Mr. Pupello said there was a baby born there he heard one of their daughters married & lives in Brockton but seems came home to have her baby it I guess.

Mrs. Barry has gone to church I have just put in a potato for her to bake guess it is done so will take it out. she will soon be home now. here is the car
