Dear Doris

We are having a rainy day I am here by my lonesome she is to the Chicataubut meeting (one of the hostesses) so will write a few lines. When Helen herself came here last Sunday she said she was still teaching & that her niece who lives there with her was bothered with asthma so didn't feel like coming. it seems she inherited it. I went over to see where he set out the trees but the grass was too tall for me to walk around. my chrysanthemums are in bloom but the trees shade them. Too bad Truman was elected. They came here to the house & got my vote. hope you are hearing from Doris&Sid
