XX  It is mutually understood that Henry Hall is my head man or foreman who will manage my farm in my absence and any hand refusing to obey him, will be discharged forthwith.
 
XXI  In bad weather it will not be expected for them to work out doors will be required to do what-ever is useful to the farm that can be done in doors to pay for their board.

XXII  It is understood that the crop of Tobacco is to be stripped by the hands who made it or are interested in it.

XXIII  It is understood that William Lewis is an Orphan boy bound to me, and I am to draw his part of the Crop.

XXIV  Clause the 13th means that the hostlers are to attend to feeding and attending to visitors horses night and morning but are not expected to attend them when the hands are in the farm.

XXV  Clause 1[[?]] means that when a hand has to pay 50 cts for a lost day the money is to be divided as follows: Doc Lewis is to have 25 cts and the hands to have the balance divided between them.

XXVI  Clause 6" + 7" is altered so instead of giving the hands a lot of 7 acres now in wheat, I agree to give each hand 4 1/4 bushels for cutting and saving my present Crop of wheat and seeding another for the year 1868
