Yours 14th Inst just read & have written Lieut Jno. W. Foot pr this matter.
I hope that Annice will have more than means to take her to Columbus to you, she is however now being engaged harvesting her crop and will be for several weeks says she does not want to start untill she get the proceeds of her crop. 
Annice is quite anxious to leave her husband and with her little son Cad return to N.C. to her mother and friends but says she wants first to get through with her contract with Mr. Gibson
I have promised her to keep her intentions a profound secret from her husband and assist her off she is working on one of my places this year
Lieut Foot seems to want me to give some refferences for my character I suppose I can cite you to J. T. Harrison. Beverly Matthews  E C Eggleston  L. A. Williford  Capt Jim Bell  John A and James A Stevens indeed any man Hale & Murdock  M. W. Hatch I have been here 23 years and am well known in Columbus generally.
