Your notification of the date 25th Inst is before me from the contents I was misrepresented  

On Monday the 20th we requested our hands to fish untill night giving our hertford hands time to take the Boat on her via up the River which we thought was all agreed to. Our Scein was Landed between 1 & 2 o'clock in the afternoon giving them aplenty of time to Make another land by dark. All of our other hands was readdy & willing to do so. These hands refused to, so to with our promise to them to stop the Scein for two days Tuesday & Wednesday for the purpose of their going to the Election & voting the precinct for them to vote with one exception is only the distance of about Eight miles, on Monday, at 2 o'clock PM They quit with out our conscent. one of the hands that left threatened to report me if I objected to their Leaving Monday the above stated time and the and threatened me I understand he did not vote at all, we leised these hands for the fishing season. Say to the 10 or 15th of May at $2 pr day due at the close of the fishing Season, on wednesday evening
