I am directed by the Asst Comr to request immediate and early information on the following points.
  
Exact location of all schools in your Sub District.
Number of day and night schools.
Number of White and Colored teachers in each.
Names of teachers and their. P.O. address.
Number of pupils in each school.
The same of Sabbath Schools.
State whether the school buildings are owned by Freedmen or others and give names of the owners.

The above information is made necessary by a recent order of the Commissioner, and in consequence of the failure of many teachers to give full and accurate information. I am required to verify my report in these particulars monthly, and must depend on your monthly report for the same.
