STRATFORD, CONNECTICUT

REFER TO LETTER NO. PS-65589 February 8, 1944

Miss Ann McFarland
Campagna House
Riverdale, New York

Dear Miss McFarland:

We wish to congratulate you upon the successful completion of your work at New York University and to welcome you as an employee of the Engineering Department of Chance Vought Aircraft.

The group will be divided into two sections to report for employment procedure. The attached list will give you the date on which you are to report. Plan to be at our Employment Office in Stratford by 12:30 (noon) on the day that you are scheduled to report and be sure to bring your birth certificate with you.

Your Shop training will begin on March 1st and extend through March 31st. We are attaching a copy of Company Regulations relative to clothing to be worn during that period.

You will recall that your salary during the shop training period will be $130 plus overtime, which brings your total monthly pay to approximately $180 a month. You will be paid on the 15th and the last day of the month, and your overtime is held back for a two weeks' period. This means that on March 15th, you will receive only your base pay for the period from March 1st to 15th and on March 31st you will receive your base pay for the period from March 15th to 31st, plus your overtime for the period from March 1st to 15th.

If you have further questions at any time, please feel free to refer to this office.

Very truly yours,

UNITED AIRCRAFT CORPORATION
