Dear Ms. Farewell:

Thank you for allowing me to examine some of your WAVES material. All of the items, from MATS handout to your letters to your mother, were quite interesting and have added to my understanding of this period in the history of women in Naval aviation.

I am returning your letters in this package. In response to your offer to share your scrapbooks, I would most definitely like to take a look. (These would be returned to you as soon as we could have some of the photographs duplicated.) At the very least, I would like to have the Museum duplicate the three photographs which appeared on a photocopy along with your story.

With regards to your stories, I am hoping you have found the others. The first was a real treasure. As with my first letter, I have again enclosed postage-paid mailing labels. I look forward to hearing from you; your interest and enthusiasm are much appreciated.

Sincerely yours,

Deborah G. Douglas
