Bostic Public Information (212) 705-7740 Nancy Deloye Fitzroy Named ASME President Nancy Deloye Fitzroy, manager, energy and environmental programs, Turbine Marketing and Projects Division, General Electric Company, Schenectady, N.Y., has been elected president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The first woman to head a major national engineering society, she was elected during the ASME's winter annual meeting Nov. 17-22 in Miami Beach. She will assume office in June 1986. Mrs. Fitzroy has been with GE for more than 30 years, working in corporate research and development and consulting on technical problems in the fields of heat transfer, gas turbines, nuclear energy and space vehicles. She has been with the Gas Turbine Division since 1976 and has managed the Division's energy and environmental programs since 1982. -more-
