Whirley Girl Now 'Copter Instructor
Evelyn Bryan, Jefferson City, Tennessee, captured her helicop-ter instructor rating after 46 hours in a Bell-47 G. She took the test from O. K. Haley, CAA, Fort Worth.
"I took 27 1/2 hours from Heli-copters International, in Florida and finished under the instruction of Irvin Franklin at Bell," she said after being peeled off the ceiling in the XCNews office. Miss Bryan has flown the TAR four times, International, has about thirty fixed-wing students at her school, Morristown Flying Serv-ice, Morristown, Tenn.
"When Mr. Haley said I passed-and it was an extensive test, I was so excited I couldn't hear anything else for the day," said the 115-pound flight instructor. Mr. Haley reported the new in-structor "competent."
