Perception of Woman was:
-> Women fliers [[?]] were looked upon like "Rosie-the-Riveter" doing necessary but not complex job. This mirrored the attitude towards women in general.

-> You have to remember that people didn't know about airplanes in the way we do today. Nobody flew anywhere and therefore they didn't know how complex they were."

-> In reality the women were doing a great thing. Flying was a tough job but the issue [[?]] was- the flying was easy but dropping bombs or flying in combat- "that was important"- ".... but cargo planes, who cared."

My question is why was this so. Was this attitude a post-facto phenomenon to downgrade female's participation.
