g. Pockets: side slit pockets with no flap in jacket, inside slanting patch pockets in pant leg below knee with button flaps, and outside patch pocket on right thigh--all pockets to be lined with shiny twill.
h. Zippers to be exposed with no chance for snagging.
i. Button over tabs at top of exit zipper.
j. Wool lining with no alpaca at crotch and behind knees in pants.
k. Front of knee lined with shiny twill.
l. Hydrovized lining in jacket for wind resistance.
m. Ten inch crotch zipper for relief tube accomodation.

2. Boots: Most satisfactory boot proved to be Hood Rubber Co. WASP boot design incorporating the following:
a. Black, nine inch high, heavy canvas boot.
b. Heavy side zipper.
c. Shearling lining.
d. Removable and addable felt insoles.
e. Front lacing for ankle support.
f. Thick rubber jungle boot sole and heel.
g. 1 1/2 inch stiff rubber sidings.

3. Gloves: WASP design of glove (similar to AAF A-11 glove) decided upon before above tests began. For detailed results on individual gloves see Appendix V.

4. Helmet: Regulation AAF intermediate helmet found satisfactory for WASPs.

5. Relief Tube: Intermediate flying suit design includes ten inch crotch zipper for use of proposed relief tube equipment. No provision has yet been made for this zipper in uniform trousers worn underneath, however.
