Engineering Division 49
Memorandum Report No. ENG-695-32-N
4 March 1944

All other parts of body warm (head, feet, hands).

Comfort: 1. Sleeves tight in jacket at elbow.
2: Pant legs tight on sitting unless pulled up a little at knee.
3. Separate report made on "crotch" zipper.
4. Jacket pockets hard to get into.
5. Pant leg pockets good.
6. Waist height in pants good front and back for sitting and standing.
7. Knitted cuffs good.
8. Fur collar good.

Recommendations:
1. Need for plan for female relief tube in pants design (see separate report on "crotch" zipper).
2. Knitted cuffs jacket and pants.
3. Slit side pockets in jacket.
4. With alpaca lined pants need bent-knee design to escape knee tightness and twisting.

Suggest comparison test of alpaca suit with shearling for wind resistance. Also test of WASP gloves for ease of finger use in cockpit.
