APPENDIX V.

Cold and Dexterity Tests on Experimental Three-Fingered Insulated Glove Developed by Dr. Brues. 

Test: Two flight tests of 1 1/2 and 3 hours at 0°C and 6°C respectively and flown by two different subjects. The first test was in a single-engined ship with the hatch open, the second in an open cockpit ship. 

Result:
Warmth:
Satisfactory at test temperature and duration.
Comfort and suitability:
1. Glove gives good dexterity in pilot activities in cockpit.
2. One subject found gloves tight above wrist and apt to be pushed down on hand by jacket sleeve.
