NEW ARMY NURSES' UNIFORM

A new uniform for members of the Army Nurse Corps, to be issued in two colors, white and blue, has been designed by the Quartermaster Corps. The white uniform, made of bleached poplin, will be worn for indoor duties, while the blue dress, which will be made from seersucker or crepe material, will be worn by members of the corps when they are off duty.

The skirt of the new uniform, in keeping with the latest fashions, contains two patch pockets. Above the waist the garment is ornamented by a row of buttons, and the belt is connected with the skirt by two loops at each side seam. The collar of the dress is a turned-down lapel with cuffs to match. A distinct military note is the shoulder loop for wearing rank insignia. The back of the new dress incorporates new features without sacrificing practical ideas. It is styled with a yolk, with gatherings below and above the waist seam.
