Dear Doris I got your card & felt glad to hear you got home with all that baggage that was  crammed into the car & the bike tied on the outside. I haven't seen any thing of your pen, but presume by now you have found it. The trees here have put on their beautiful coloring & it does one good to look out. we have had two nights of frosts & the days are cool but very sunny. I now make a little fire in the wood stove in the sitting room, just enough to warm up the downstairs rooms. I have no cold everything is all right here with me. Ma, its lonesome without you
