POST CARD [[postmark]] SOUTH KENSINGTON 3 14 PM 14 AUG 1950 S.W.7 [[/postmark]] [[postal stamp]] Greetings from London 14 Aug 50 Dear Ma: We wet down the Thames on a 2 hr. boat ride last night to see the place - it is like this. Weather cool and fairly sunny now. We spent Sat PM & evening with Skeeles, - the folks we sent food to during the war - you know your cushion corn made by Mrs Skeeles. She died & he married a French woman & she gave us a regular French meal. Doris took train for Stratford-on-Avon yesterday P.M. for a week. Sid is invited down to south coast next weekend and Doris will get back and she & I plan a day's trip to Canterbury on Sunday. We are getting mail now regularly from you. Had a letter from Amy too. Sid is trying to change his plane home so to land in Boston - but so far with no success. Hope all is well & you have the kindlings - Doris. Mrs A.L. Holmes 290 Walnut ST Stoughton Mass. U.S.A.
