Tegelbacken

22 July 1950.
Stockholm.

Dear Ma: I was down here this forenoon - right as you see in the picture, asking about the trip to Öte, - a Sunday excursion on a little steamer to one of the islands that leaves from near here. The little blue street cars I take all the time to go about. As I was walking along I met Mrs St John (a botanists wife, he was in Sid's class at Harvard) and she has a girl at Radcliffe, and we walked along here chatting together. Her husband has gone on the trip to Lapland with the crowd. I have been getting tickets for Copenhagen next week, and arranging for Sid to fly there on the samedate. He is hard at work today at the Museum. Then I marketed - for picnic lunch on the excursion tomorrow buying bread, cheese & raspberries. Doris.
