Dear Doris It is cool & sunny today I am writing the letter to you early this morning and hope it reaches you and finds you all right. Mrs. Barry is going down to the movies, she will take the letter with her along with one she has also written. The Brides sister has gone from the hospital and bought the house on the corner where Gorge Ring used to live they say now they are going to rest up and take comfort. I guess they were heartily sick of taking care of patients over in the hospital for a living Maude is about the same we hear its a pity she cant pass on. Gertrude Ballantine is still alive I saw Mrs Colder yesterday and I inquired after her she was there 2 weeks ago to see her and said she would go once again in a day or two and take Mrs Barry over with her if she would like to go. We had a nice party of her friends here last Friday afternoon and they all had a wonderful time & so did we, they played cards out on the porch where it was just right for temperature, we dressed it up with rugs on the floor & put a blue covering over the bed and it looked lovely. they all brought me little gifts and we laughed and talked and had a wonderful time with them while they stayed. I hope you are getting rested on your trip & Sid is also doing well to rest up also you all are in need of a good rest I will now draw this letter to a close

love, Ma
