Hotel Martha Washington
(Y.W.C.A) NY.

Dear Ma:

Here we are staying at a typical Y.W.C.A place, but it is comfortable and not too far from where we have to go tomorrow morning. We got in 1/2 hour late and after a little telephoning found the place quite near the station. We are getting ready now to go to bed. Doris has been putting up her hair after shedding her clothes It seems much milder here and it is foggy with a sort of mistiness. Doris has called up the home of one of her college friends who is in Europe and gotten the address in Paris where that one is located, and is looking forward to the meeting there.
Now I must write a little note to Sid to apprise him of the fact we have managed to get to NY alone!

Doris.
