Stoughton May 11th 1950

Dear Doris  A sunny day & not cold above 50° early this morning.  trees are all leaved out & the apple tree back of the house is budded, also the lilac bush is full of buds. my tulips are in full bloom, yellow & red & one pink & white one out front only one all white under the spice bush. the rest are orange. a dozen all in bloom & ten out front so those that Doris set out were not very much behind than yours out under the spice bush. I was lucky to get the bolder boy to mow my lawn Monday night after school.  he said his lawn mower was dull, so he did the best with mine.  Mr Benois said he would take mine with him when he went off to work he said he went right by where they sharpened
