Dear Doris Daylight saving to day. A very pleasant warm day 50° early. yesterday was rainy & clouday all day so I was much surprised to wake up this morning to see the sun. another stormy day was prophesied.

Hazel Drake was over early to pay her rent. we were eating our breakfast she said that Gertrude Ballantine was still in the hospital & had three operations and was going to have another. she often calls up the hospital to find out about how she is. we are awful sorry & are going to call up Tom the brother if he is over here to ask him about his sister. he married a nurse in the hospital & works there also I believe
