Dear Doris

It has cleared of this afternoon rained all night & this forenoon since dinner the sun has come out and its warmer 30° early a few flakes of snow, came down early with the rain. vegetation is slow. nothing but crocus & daffies so far are in bloom. rosebushes are just started their leaves, also lilacs forsythias have just shown life not ever leaved out. our cold spring has made everything backward. The grass is growing green. I saw in yesterdays Enterprise an article about Charles Upham. so thought it might interest you a bit and am sending it along in my letter to you. father Melvin &^ I didn't think much of his^ saw too much of that Hower blood when Horace & Sue took care of the old father & Mother down to North Stoughton. perhaps the children & different. I guess Doris is working we dont see her these days. she was short of cash so I gave her a little
