Stoughton April 2nd 1950
Dear Doris. Its going to be a pleasant day rained during the night some. Do you know its not going to be a rainy Sunday after all, and not very cold, up to 40° early this morning. April ought to be more spring like. we have had enough winter this year.
Mrs. Barry is getting ready for Church & Doris is going to write another letter to put in with mine. She took us by surprise & came out last night just as I finished my supper. We went off to bed around eight O'clock she was out the night before 'till after midnight. So after a game of checkers, we went off to bed. She was glad to turn in early & had a good sleep in the north chamber bed,
