seized upon personal property.
In but one instance has this Dept had any in its possession.  That was in the case of certain perishable property seized by the Treasury Dept. turned over to me by its Agents and disposed of for the benefit of the funds of this Bureau

As soon as our Medical Director arrives measures will be taken to improve the condition of the Hospital as far as our limited funds will permit.

Your letter relating to abandoned property has been referred to the U.S. Dist Atty.

Further orders will be given in relation to the Spring Hill Seminary.

I have the honor to request that Captain Albert Kuehne Co "B" 178 New York Vols be assigned to duty in this Bureau and ordered to report to me.
Captain Kuehne has been on detached service with the Army of the Tenn for two years - has just returned to his regiment and is personally known to me. I greatly desire his services.
