72 Office Assistant Commissioner Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands Montgomery Ala. Oct 4th 1865 Circular letter Superintendant, Sir; Your attention is called to the enclosed Circular No 17 in reference to the financial affairs of this Bureau. I You will immediately report to Bvt Lt Col Edward Wright the amount, if any, of funds in your hands, and turn the same over to him at the earliest opportunity, taking his receipt therefor in accordance with the third paragraph of circular No 17. II You will at once make out and forward to this office the estimate as required by paragraph four. III You will send on the first of every month a report of the number of laborers contracted for in your District and turn over the proceeds of the tax of twenty five cents for each laborer as required by Gen Order No 14 from this office to Lieut Col Wright. IV You will also send to this office all bills for printing expenses which have been incurred under your direction, with copies of the blanks, Circulars as printed, and a statement of the reasons for making the expenditure.
