I have the honor to request that the following named officer and enlisted men of the 12th Iowa Vols may be assigned to duty in this Bureau and ordered to report to Chaplain S.S. Gardner Asst Supt of Freedmen at Selma. They are now on duty there assigned by the District Commander but the Regiment having been transferred to the Talladega District a detail from you is necessary. Their services are essential to the Asst Supt at Selma
