An officer will be designated to receive the property which should be transferred, and to make such settlements with yourself or your agents as existing orders and contracts may require.
Will you be so kind as to put him in possession of the facts necessary and of your views in order that the business may be completed, as soon as possible.
I have to thank you for the courtesy of our relations this far, which it will give me pleasure at any time to renew.

Your communication of the 10th inst is received.
Capt. Davis has been requested to refer all contracts to you and to file those copies he may have with you. In the cases of children making contracts while their parents are indigent, The children must provide for the support of their parents as far as they are able.
You will have to rely on the civil authorities for assistance.
Contracts with Freedmen do require Revenue stamps.
An officer will be sent down to see you as soon as practicable.
