Capt T. I. Kerr, my Chief Q.M. reports that you have some leather in your hands belonging to this Bureau.
Will you be kind enough to sell the same according to the rules of the Treasy Department, and transfer the proceeds to Capt Kerr.

Your communication of the 20th inst. is received. Your action in appointing a day for the hearing of the case in which Messrs Moore & Hays are the disputing parties is approved by the Asst Coms'r.

Should you find that the parent or parents of the children are averse to the indenture already made to Mr Moore you will be justified in annulling the indenture or if the children apprenticed are able to support themselves they should not be bound contrary to their own wishes.
The General trusts to your judgement in this matter entirely believing that you will cause justice to be done. Please notify this office of your action.

Capt T.I. Kerr reports that in your hands there is a quantity of old iron, horseshoes, wagons &c belonging to the Bureau. He also states that you are about to have a sale of condemned property.
Genl. Swayne requests that you will dispose of the above mentioned property at your sale and transfer the proceeds to Capt T. J. Kerr.
If it is practicable for you to do this you do a great favor to this Dept
