There is no doubt in the minds of the officers there that the two men who you have in charge committed the murder and that Jenkins was accessory to it in fact the instigator. Maj Pierce will be here in a day or two. I will have him make charges and forward them to you. The two men with Jenkins should be kept in confinement as they have no responsibility and would most probably forfeit their bail if they had an opportunity. I think that the iron should be sold and that Mr F. if his claim is of any consequence should prefer it before the Treasy Dept.
