Wetsel AQM Captain I have the honor to request that you will dispose at your next sale of a certain lot of old Iron castings and scrap Iron now in the Q M Warehouse at Selma, belonging to this Bureau and report the proceedings to this office. Sir It is reported to this office that you assume to be an Agent of this Bureau and are calling on planters to submit their contracts for revision. You have no authority to do this and you are not recognized as an agent of the Bureau. You will please report your reasons for such action. It is not considered expedient to have the number of Contract Agents of the Bureau increased at present. The appointment made by Col Thomas is not now in force. Your County is included in the Dist of Demopolis, of which Mr C. H.
