In reply I have the honor to state that the only acton[[action]] that can be taken in the case of  Brice vs [[Burner's?]] is to bring it befor the U.S. Dist. Court measures will be taken to ascertain what can be done in that direction and you will be conferred with on the subject.

The General directs me to say to you that it is considered best to divide the issue of rations, to the destitute in Monroe Co giving one hundred rations daily to the destitute whites and seventy five rations daily to Mr Garland Good, Agent, for issues at the Freedmens Home.
