Sir Your communication of the 13th unto regarding Geo P. Powell Co "A" 8th Iowa Inftry is received. In reply I have the honor to state that Powell left the State with his Regiment on the 23d April "en route" to Iowa for the purpose of being mustered out. The wound in his arm was entirely healed. The blanks are sent to the different Supt. as fast as received from Washington.
