At these Headquarters such facts in regard to the case as you now are or may become possessed of. Action in the case is desired to be taken at as early a moment as possible.

Please make a full statement in the case of the negro who was so badly beaten in one of the upper counties of your district - the case you read to me while I was there - and forward it to this office.
In the case of the sunken steamers the General will not see until he hears from Washington where has referred the matter.
Please forward the lists of property as soon as practicable.
