Colonel:

In compliance with your Genl Orders No. 10, which has been received this day, I have the honor to forward herewith the Charges against prisoners in confinement here and awaiting trial.

As it would involve a large expense to the Government to transport the prisoners and witnesses to Mobile, I would recommend that you immediately reconvene the Court which has just been dissolved

in order that they may be tried here.  I enclose the names of the members.

In relation to the first paragraph of G.O. N:10, I have to ask whethever all the Posts should be discontinued under it.

I should of necessity have to discontinue the Post of Montgomery, else as Regimental Commander I would be subject to my Lieut Colonel, who commands the Post.
