62 I mentioned these reports from Greenville and that I had found nothing involving the present agent. The night I received Mr. Crenshaw’s letter in writing to Genl. S. at Mobile, I mentioned that I had received new information and had sent an officer to Greenville. Generals Steadman and Fullerton went from here to Selma, and thence by river to Mobile.
