Macon Ga Captain Some days since upon a request of the General Commanding Department, that I mentioned some officers of Volunteers to be detailed for Court Martial, I feeling that it would seem ungracious to name no one, though there was really no one here we could spare named Bvt Major O.D. Kinsman Asst Adjt General His health at that time, bid fair to unfit him temporarily for his office duties which are laborious since then he has recovered, and the difficulty of sparing him seems to increase daily. Hence in a despatch I yesterday had occasion to send to the General I summarily expressed a wish that the Generals convenience would permit Major Kinsman to be relieved and remain here during my absence.
