Major I have the honor to transmit herewith the Monthly Return for September delayed until now, on account of non receipt of Post Monthly Returns, which have been returned for correction. The Monthly Return of Fort Morgan returned to the Commanding Officer of that Post for correction has not been yet received back. The Return of that Post has been taken from his Tri Monthly Reports. Weekly Reports for the 6th and 13th are herewith enclosed which have also been delayed by the causes above mentioned. The irregularity of Mail communication with the Posts of Morgan, Gaines and Mt Vernon, causes much delay when Returns &c are sent back for correction.
