Mobile Ala Major Enclosed please find an order for transportation for Mary Dyer Cold from Mobile to Chicago. The order was made out on receipt of the paper, containing your endorsement recommending that the transportation be furnished, but was misplaced and was mixed in with other documents which is the reason of its not having been transmitted before. Flewellen of Macon County Ala having complied with the requisitions laid down in the regulations of the Bureau Refugees Freemdmen and Abandoned Lands for procuring transportation of freedmen from our State to another under G.O. 138 War [Dept. A.G.O. Washington D.C. Sept 16" 1865, I respectfully request you to make application to the Commissioner Bureau Refugees, Freedman and Abandoned Lands for an order for transportation for such freedmen as he may contract with in accordance with the aforesaid regulations.
